Exploring Bristol
What it is: This is a new group, which explores Bristol on foot.
When it is: Initially the first Wednesday of every other month.
Where it is: At various locations around Bristol. It is hoped that members will use public transport to attend, especially as some walks may be linear.
This group will provide members with informative walks around places of historic interest, in and around Bristol, as well as looking at how the City has developed over time and is being regenerated today. The walks could be a tour of a single site, a group of places or a themed walk. The intention is that interesting facts will be pointed out along the route by the walk leader.
There will be a maximum of 20 people on each walk. Each member must take a turn to research and lead a walk, which could vary from a short tour of a historic place, or up 4/5 miles with a walk around parts of the city or further afield.
