At-Home Thomas Hardy Poetry
At Home – Thomas Hardy Poems
Each month, we select three or four Thomas Hardy poems to look at and to express our views on. The results are then circulated by email to those participating, and there can then be further email ‘discussion’. You don’t have to be an expert!
So far we have studied ‘Drummer Hodge,’ ‘On the Esplanade’, ‘The Self-Unseeing’, ‘At Lulworth Cove a Century Back,’ ‘Great Things’, ‘The Man he Killed’, ‘An Unkindly May’ and ‘Friends Beyond’.
In December we are studying: ‘A Bird-Scene at a Rural Dwelling’; ‘After a Journey’; and ‘The Oxen’.
We started with four members, so have two or three places available.
Contributions welcome by 31 December and are circulated among participators. Please contact john.grantham4@btinternet.com and suggest a poem for us to study next time.
