March Meeting
A quieter meeting than usual but all the same a great discussion about the ethics of image manipulation and a great set of pictures to evaluate. This month's pictures are by MaryAnne, Rowena and John
New Content
Bridgend u3a will soon be migrating from the current web site management SiteBuilder to a new package called SiteWorks which is based on the popular WordPress platform. Apart from the technical aspects of the change we will need to collect updated content - pictures and narrative - to fill the site. With that in mind would members please look for opportunities to highlight u3a activities in their pictures. We are looking for action pictures not just pictures of meetings.
Ghost Signs
We are also embarking on a project to record the Ghost Signs of Bridgend and surrounding districts. These are signs on buildings - and elsewhere - that have been left in situ when a building has changed its function. Look out for more information.
MOBILE PHOTOGRAPHY OUTINGS
Bryngarw Country Park
While the weather may have been a bit gloomy for our visit to Bryngarw Park on Friday 18th August at least the rain held off until the afternoon. All we had to contend with was a slight drizzle. Bryngarw is, of course, fine in the wet with marvellous textures, wonderful river views and plenty of contrasting colours. I've added a quick sampler of the pictures we took, and Diane has prepared a collage of pictures from St Fagans.
St Fagans Trip
Our trip to St Fagan's went ahead on a gloriously fine day. St Fagans is set in 40 acres of woodland so finding pictures to meet the month's theme of "The Way Through the Woods" was no problem
