Brecon U3A magazine - Phoenix
The Phoenix is the Annual Magazine of Brecon U3A written by members.
It includes stories, articles, illustrations and reports and is published free to all Brecon members in September. The magazine is in A5 format and, apart from the coloured cover, produced in black and white.
The final deadline for contributions is now the end of the Summer term but it is always hoped that many will come in much earlier in order to spread the task of selection, proofing and page layout over a reasonable time.
Ideally written work should be submitted in a word processor format, but it can be sent as an email or a scanned copy or given as a typed version.
Art and graphic work can be emailed in JPEG format or original work can be photographed or scanned. Coloured illustrations will be printed in monochrome unless used for the cover.
We welcome, short stories, personal experiences, academic articles, poetry, humour, pictures, puzzles and cartoons, and reports from our group leaders.
Submissions on line can be sent to the editor, Mike Ingram, by clicking on the pigeon above the links on the right.
The 2018 edition and some earlier editions can be read by clicking the links on this page.
