Bridge

Group Leader – Gill Roberts

Many years ago, Val Bell suggested that we have a Bridge Club and that she would begin to teach us the rudiments of Bridge. There were 12 of us to start and we met each week in the Meeting Room with Val going through the various stages of Bridge. It was intense but we began the Club and several of us are the original few. Val instructed us for many months full of enthusiasm but sadly she succumbed to an illness and passed away. Her place was taken by Sue Candy who led this group, again for many years but sadly too, she passed on.
We do not teach Bridge but Christine Forbes and Jo Copping of the Brecon Bridge Club hold meetings in The Muse, Glamorgan Street, Brecon . There is more information if you look up this site.
Our meetings are quite informal, some being more advanced than others but we will stop and evaluate what play we have done and chat amongst ourselves whether we were correct in our moves or not.
We meet in The Bar area of Theatre Brycheiniog, 13.15 – 15.45 during U3A term times, you will find us tucked away on that floor.
Anyone, who has an interest in Bridge is welcome, so do come along!
