This term under the new circumstances I will be using Zoom.
My first session will be 17th September, the afternoon session beginning at 1.30 pm, access from 1.15 pm
I will be giving a talk about Artemisia Gentileschi - the greatest female artist from the 17th Century
She lived between 1593 and about 1654.
She worked in Rome, Florence, Venice, Naples and London, for people including the Grand Duke of Tuscany, Philip IV of Spain and Charles I of Great Britain.
The first major exhibition of her paintings in the UK is to be held at the National Gallery from October until January.
She challenged conventions and defied expectations to become a major sought after and successful artist.
