We the Outings Team ~ Sheila Mead, Rebecca Fuller and Heather Hurcomb invite you to join us for another year of Places to Go and Things to Do with lots of fun and laughter along the way.
We welcome you on our trips but must point out that your place is not secured until full payment is received
All payments are non-refundable BUT we will do our best to find a replacement for you if you are unable to go on the outing booked.
We ask that you let us know as soon as possible if you are NOT able to join us on a trip so that we have as much time as possible to find a replacement.

- Unfortunately I have been unable to reserve seats in the Winfield Cafe for our lunch.
- We will have to queue to select our refreshments and then find a spare table. (we hope!)
- You may wish to bring a packed lunch. If so, would you please bear in mind
- You will NOT be able to return to the coach during the day, you will have to carry your lunch with you.
- If wet, there are a limited number of places available under cover but not always available seating.
A THURS. 30th MAY A TOUR OF WIMBLEDON The All England Lawn Tennis Club.
Cost: Members £42 ~ Non Members £44.
Depart: Braintree bus park 8.00am prompt
(Note there will be quite a lot of WALKING on the FLAT and STAIRS)
This will be an amazing day out. A rare opportunity to experience a Private, Accompanied 'Behind the Scenes' Tour of Wimbledon - the venue of - The Greatest Lawn Tennis Tournament in the World.
- We will walk in the footsteps of the great Tennis Champions.
- See the Champions Boards and Trophies dating from 1877.
- Walk up the glass staircase through the Players Area.
- Visit the Media Tower: The centre for worldwide broadcasting led by the BBC.
- See the TV Studios and Press Room.
- See the Outside Courts and surrounding areas - Henman Hill.
- And Finally - be taken to the famous CENTRE COURT.
***At this point we will be able to purchase refreshments from the Winfield Cafe***
- We end our day with a visit to the Museum packed with photographs and memorabilia going back to the inception of the Championships in 1877.

JULY: A DAY OUT AT THE EPPING & ONGAR RAILWAY
Cost: £25.50 members ~ £27.50 non members (non-refundable)
Depart Braintree bus park: 9.30.am (PLEASE NOTE NEW DEPARTURE TIME)
A 'Step Back In Time'........ Cameras at the ready.
We start by treating ourselves to morning coffee/tea in the' Anglia Coach' on North Weald Station.
We can watch our Steam Locomotive being prepared for its journey to Ongar.
Once on board, sit back and enjoy the countryside views on the way to Ongar Station.
On our arrival we can visit the gift shop or take a little wander on the platform before our return trip to North Weald.
Transport mode two: We take the Heritage Bus to Epping passing the Underground Station and beyond. On the way back we get off in Epping High St. Here there are many eating places to take Lunch.
Lunch over we head back to North Weald on board the Heritage Bus.
Transport mode three: Diesel DMU, again we sit back, relax and enjoy countryside views and a
pleasant trip through a part of Epping Forest before returning to North Weald Station where we come to the end of 'Our Trip Down Memory Lane' and head for home.

11th SEPTEMBER A TRIP TO KENT TO VISIT HEVER CASTLE
Cost: £31.00 members/ £33.00 non-members

The 13th Century Hever Castle has not one but two Moats and is set in 125 acres.
There are three separate gardens, two Mazes and a Boating Lake.
There is a Coffee Shop as well as a Restaurant serving snacks, drinks and full meals.
Your tickets allow you entry to the grounds and gardens as well as the Castle which you may tour at your leisure. If you would like an Audio Tour you may hire the equipment at a charge of £3.75 at the Castle entrance.
Join us for a most enjoyable and interesting day.... Good weather has been ordered!!!
