Car Sharing
You are encouraged to share cars when going on outings and trips.
We have been advised that giving lifts to other members of U3A does not invalidate your car insurance policy. U3A has public liability insurance in place to cover these eventualities
To make sure the driver does not lose out, we recommend you total up the mileage at 30 pence per mile (don't forget the return journey!) and add in parking and similar expenses. Then divide this cost between all the people in the car, driver included.
