Membership is £10; session subs (quarterly) £10.
If you are not sure whether this is for you, you may attend your first session as a 'taster' and pay just £2 to cover the cost of the room hire. Full membership fees would only become payable if you decide to continue with the group.
MEMBERSHIP UPDATE
We are a cappella choir, i.e. we sing songs unaccompanied in 4 or more parts. We tend to work on traditional songs and 'folky' contemporary music, rather than great masterpieces such as those by Handel etc. You do not need to be able to read music though this is an advantage. The individual lines are taught to each part. As each section becomes more confident the different parts are put together so that by the time of the performance we can offer complete compositions with lovely melodies and beautiful harmonies.
In the past we have sung regularly at the parish church in Bourton. In addition we have performed modern carols and seasonal hymns to residents of local care homes.
