Art History
Date: | 3rd Tuesday |
Time: | 2pm-4pm |
Duration: | 2 Hours |
Venue: | TBC |
Group Organiser: | Jo Young |
Deputy Organiser: | Roger Harris |
Scheduled to begin again in Spring 2022.
We have monthly meetings where we discuss artists/paintings/art movements. Members do research on the selected topics bringing along examples of works in books, PowerPoint presentations etc.
We also make the occasional visit. We have visited the NATIONAL GALLERY, London and enjoyed a guided tour to find out some of the hidden meanings and encoded messages in selected works of art.
On a previous occasion we were privileged to have a private visit to Trinity House gallery in Broadway where we learnt about some of the paintings and art work on display. We have also visited the Heritage Centre at the Fire Service College in Moreton-in-Marsh and the Ashmolean Museum in Broadway.
For more details and photographs of our past and future meetings and visits see our Programme under links.
