We are interested in history, all of it from the big bang until yesterday. Among the topics we have covered so far include Mrs Pankhurst and the Suffragette Movement; a short history of Firefighting in the UK from Roman Times; Crusades, Crusading & the Knights Templar; the Origins of the First World War; Social Change in the Victorian Period; The Crimean War; famous explorers such as Edward Wilson, Dame Freya Stark and Ernest Shackleton; the Wives and Children of Henry VIII; Nancy Astor. New members are always welcome, either singly or couples.
