This Group is full, but Beyond the Book Group meets on the 1st Wednesday of the month and has vacancies.
The aim of this friendly group is to read and discuss an eclectic mix of books by authors from all over the world. We may also go as a group to local literary festivals. (Cheltenham, Oxford, Stratford upon Avon, Chipping Norton).
We choose set books that are placed within a theme. Although members are encouraged to read the chosen book for the month, members may chose to read another book that fits into the theme. Our discussion therefore is not limited to just one book. Every third month we have a free choice where members read a book that is applicable to the preceding 2 months themes.
We enjoy being introduced to books that perhaps we would not have ordinarily have thought to read. However, above all we want to enjoy the reading experience and so the choice of other theme related books ensures that the needs of all are catered for.
