Poem No.10

Isolation

I miss the family so very much, how long will this go on
My jigsaw’s nearly finished, some right and some was wrong

I’ve eaten all the chocolate, drunk up all the wine
The daily Crossword is so hard it really is a swine

My temper is now fraying, I now get really cross
What to do about it all, I’m really at a loss.

I wake up in the morning, feel sorry for myself
Then think of all those workers in the National Health.

We really owe them something, we hold them all so dear
So, I’ll be out on Thursday with a handclap and a cheer.
