Poem No.9

Scribblers Haiku and Tanka responses to Lockdown

Jigsaw slowly grows
Twenty furry teddy bears
Twenty black noses

Inside, what to do?
Yet another jigsaw puzzle
Too many pieces

Queuing for loo rolls
Piling in the pasta packs
No apples again

Coved roared in lion like
Raged around like a bull
Will it leave like a lamb

Daf - fad - down - dil - lys
Will bring a ray of sunshine
Into our dark world.

Clarity, colour,
Scintillating starry skies
Far less pollution.
Trilling, whistling, chirruping.
No toiling traffic. Heaven

Oven is in bits
No food for now
Only one walk a day
No online shop to be had
The world itself is in bits
