Boston & District

We are very pleased to welcome you to the Boston & District U3A web site.

As you may already know, U3A's are found world wide including here in the United Kingdom.

We are one of over 1000 U3As spread across the United Kingdom, each affiliated to the Third Age Trust. Members share their knowledge, experience and participate in a wide range of educational, social and leisure activities. Join us, make new friends and share teaching / learning experiences. No qualifications are required. You can learn new skills and exercise for sheer enjoyment and fun. We are sure you will find something of interest. The U3A draws on the wealth of knowledge and experience of its members. Despite being called a UNIVERSITY it requires no qualifications and no qualifications are awarded. The term UNIVERSITY refers to the UNIVERSITY of LIFE and the organisation has members and not students.

Boston & District U3A was set up in September 1992. We have over 300 members with over thirty active groups,

General meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at The Danny Flear Community Centre, Bull Pasture, FREISTON, PE22 OLH.

The annual subscription for TAM is £3.10 for 5 issues per year.

GIFT AID The benefit to Charities is well known and worth £4.00 to us for each UK taxpayer who gives authority. This is a valuable contribution to our running costs and enables us to keep the subscription at its current level of £18.00 per person.

If you decide to attend a monthly meeting you will be greeted at the door and someone will show you round and help you discover the groups and events we have on offer. This introductory meeting does not commit you to joining. You can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee whilst browsing the literature on display and chatting to people asking questions etc.
