GROUPE DE CONVERSATION EN FRANÇAIS
FRENCH UPDATED FOR ENTHUSIASTS
Tout est dit, dans le titre – c’est à dire que nous essayons de parler français, avec plaisir.
La participation est déconseillée aux vrais débutants en français (presque tous les membres actuels ont réussi, plus ou moins, à « O-Level », il y a longtemps! Mais rafraîchir les connaissances dure assez longtemps aussi, et les membres nouveaux peuvent rester en silence autant qu’ils le veulent.)
Les sujets à discuter sont choisis de textes receuillis par le sous-signé d’un blog rédigé en ligne par une journaliste anglo-française retraitée, donc en français très moderne ; on lit et on discute ces textes.
On fait très peu de grammaire – seulement quand les members participants le veulent, et dans la mesure qu’ils le veulent.
On a fait,rarement, des situations conversationnelles pour aider nos membres à pratiquer le langage courant.
On écoute aussi le français parlé – extraits d’actualité (Journal en Français Facile de Radio France Internationale) et des chansons traditionnelles et modernes – mais, généralement, on ne les chante pas.

The title says it all – i.e. we try to talk French, and enjoy doing it!
Absolute beginners in French are advised against joining the group (almost all current members of the group passed O-Level, more or less, a long time ago! But it takes a long time to brush up your knowledge, and new members have the right to remain silent for as long as they wish to.
