Photography

The photography group meet on the third Thursday of the month at 2.00pm. usually on days when we go further afield on our travels we have a full day with our cameras.

The group now consists of about 12 people, with an interest in the subject and a love of photography. We have all different abilities in the group with the more experienced helping anyone with questions, how each individual camera can be set to get the best pictures, composition etc.

The group meet at different venues to take their pictures, also each time a project is set to take various types of shots which are shown at the next meeting.

This year we have had several outings, Easton Wall Garden and The Smokery. Also we have used Frampton West Hall for an afternoon with a professional photographer who gave a very interesting and informative talk on the work that he did.

In April this year we used the hall for a “Still Life” session which proved to be very enjoyable. the pictures from the last month were displayed and discussed.

For the rest of the year we have a very varied programme - which was designed by all the group and each meeting organised by a member. We will be visiting gardens, a pumping station, Thorpe Camp, and later looking at pumpkins and seals.
