A VERY WARM WELCOME FROM STEPHANIE YEARNSHIRE MBE, CHAIR OF BOLDON AND DISTRICT u3a
u3a uniquely gives retired or semi-retired people the opportunity to meet and make new friends while sharing interests with the chance to learn new ones.
u3a is without like, one motto tells you to live, laugh, learn
Lifelong learning is the key, but not as we know it from our past life, there are no exams, no qualifications are sought, no expectation to achieve, no competition. With enjoyment being a prime motive you select the interest group/s that suits you, and join it.
We have many interest groups including Art, Music, Walking, Wine Tasting, Choir, Photography, Gardening, Railways, Healthy Living, Creative Writing, Tours and Trips out, to name but a few. (Take a look at the list on this website)
We are led by a committee of exceptional people, who go the extra mile to ensure we become stronger and even more interesting. We are self-funding and costs are kept to a minimum.
Meetings are at 10.30 am on the third Monday of the month in All Saints Church, Cleadon.
Enjoying being part of a u3a, building friendships, being part of the u3a world, becoming enthusiastic and curious can have a powerful influence on our wellbeing.
Do not count the days rather make the days count
