The BNB U3A is open to all who are not in full-time employment. There is no minimum age, although most members not in full time employment are over 50!
MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTION FEES
The membership year commences 1st April and is renewable each year.
Annual Membership fees are required to help pay towards the costs of providing the organisation events, magazine etc., although additional fees may be required towards the costs of attending at specific venues for group activities. The following gives a guide on the current level of membership fees for 2022/23. These are required to be paid by the end of March 2022:
Singles (Full year) £10
Couples (Full Year) £18
If joining as a new member partway through a
year (after 1st October) the standard membership
fee of £15.00 is reduced to... £5 (£8 for couples).
For members of other U3A’s
(e.g. Coventry, Hinckley) £5
If you join for the first time from 1st January 2022 the annual fee of £10/18 stands but will cover membership through to the next year end, ie. it will cover up to 15 months membership.
HOW TO JOIN OR RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP
There are two ways to join BNB U3A or renew your membership:
1. ONLINE APPLICATIONS AND RENEWAL - Go to the Online Membership Forms page, select the required membership option and and enter your details in the form on this page and pay the membership subscription fee online, and your membership will be registered/renewed immediately.
2. NEW MEMBERS - Postal Application - Download the New Member Application 2022-23, print and complete it and post it, with the appropriate subscription amount as a cheque or cash, to our Membership contact, at the address given in the form. N.B. Paper forms will be posted out to all existing members during March each year for those who wish to renew their membership in this way, the downloadable form is for new members only.
If paying online, please ensure you select the correct option before payment.
GIFT AID REGISTRATION
As we are a registered Charity we are able to claim Tax refunds under the Gift Aid scheme. Using Gift Aid means that we get an extra 25% from the Inland Revenue as a Tax Refund, helping your subscription payment go further. In order register under the Gift Aid scheme you must tick the box in the form to indicate you agree with the conditions specified in the form regarding Tax liability.
Once you have joined BNB U3A, you will receive our monthly Newsletter, and be able to join our various Special Interest Groups, as given on the 'Groups' page, and join in our monthly meetings (currently held via video)
