UPDATED INFO

Hello Bridge Players

In this time without any bridge on a Friday. It appears that some people are interested in playing bridge online.
One site that has been suggested is bridge base online. I think we can take part as a group, so we would be playing
amongst ourselves. Brian Gibbs has already tried it and thought it was good. Should anybody be interested you can contact Brian on his usual email and telephone numbers or on Brian-Computer

The club meets weekly and caters for the experienced as well as the beginner. It meets every Friday afternoon between 1:00 to 4:15 pm.

Bridge Club changes from January 2019 :- Paired Chicago on week1, all the rest we play Duplicate

For beginners there is always a friendly social atmosphere and it provides the ideal place for you to gain confidence and experience. All players remember their first time going to play in an actual Bridge Club, so we take special care of new people and our beginners.
If you need some tuition or even if you cannot tell one card from another there is a 13 week EBU accredited beginner’s course available when there is sufficient demand. This is usually offered each year, starting in September, and is designed to get you confident enough to start playing in the club Chicago sessions. Then Duplicate sessions as you wish.

For higher standard players there is always something to learn from the games and it provides the ideal opportunity to practice bidding conventions, partnership understanding, card play and other strategies of the modern game.

You do not need to arrive with a partner - individual players are very welcome. We have a system that specifically caters for individuals with a ‘host’ system. You can always just turn up and play in some way.
Coffee, tea and biscuits are always available as needed!
