Manor Farm - July 2023

The sheer joy of nature On our arrival at Manor Farm we were escorted to a wonderful, large old tree where chairs had been set out for us to enjoy a short talk and learn of history of the garden and the Trehane family, who have been farming in the area for many years. Fortunately the weather stayed fair for us as we listedned to the talk whilst enjoying coffee and delicious lemon drizzle cake. Berries in July

Red Admiral at rest We then wandered around the garden at leisure admiring the beautiful borders packed full of numerous plants, shrubs and trees along with a peaceful rose garden set by the house. The small(ish) pond was another feature of the garden with views of the adjoining countryside. Many of us purchased superb plants, during our visit, which were sold for charity.

Stunning Thistle A fascinating and interesting garden to visit despite a rather dull day! A feasting moth
