Astronomy [Maldon & District]
The U3A Astronomy Group meets at Chigborough Fishing Club Headquarters, Chigborough Road, off Goldhanger Road, Heybridge at 7.30pm on the 4th Monday of the month. The group, as the name implies, is made up from U3A members from local U3As including Blackwater, Maldon, Limebrook, Burnham and Great Baddow.
At our meetings, films and talks relating to astronomical topics are shown and discussed. And, when the opportunity arises, the group’s telescopes are used. The group also make visits to locations of astronomical interest. If any Blackwater U3A member wishes to join this group, then either contact Alan Chapman, or just turn up at our next meeting.
