Art Appreciation
We meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 2.00 pm at West Maldon Community Centre, from January through to November. At these meetings one of the members will give a visual presentation on an artist/sculptor or group of artists, or style of art. These have been European or Asian. We have also had talks on furniture and had afternoons of the 'Antiques Road Show' where we bring all sorts of items from home to discuss.
During the Spring and Summer months we pay visits to galleries and museums, both local and further afield in Essex, Suffolk and London. We also join with the History Group for visits to well known houses or exhibitions.
We have not had a tutor and in the true spirit of the U3A we are a self learning group where everyone can have a say and everyone is welcome. Why not join us?

| Tue Apr 23rd | Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 23rd April when our own Jim Skelly will present a talk on two of the British ‘Greats’ - William Hogarth 1697-1764 and his contemporary (though slightly older) Sir Joshua Reynolds 1723-1792. | Wed May 29th | For May book the day Wednesday 29th (not Tuesday when it is shut). We will visit the lovely Munnings Museum and have lunch outside in the garden from the café (weather permitting) before we enter the exhibition of loads of art works with the theme of Horses.
