U3As are self-help, self-managed, lifelong learning co-operatives for people no longer in full time work, providing opportunities for their members to share learning experiences in a wide range of interest groups and to pursue learning not for qualifications, but for fun.
The advancement of Education and in particular, the Education of older people and those who are retired from full time work by all means, including associated activities conductive to learning and personal development.

Blaby U3A is now in its Fourteenth successful year. We meet once a month on the second Wednesday at Blaby Social Center, Leicester Rd, Blaby starting at 2:00 pm. Committee members will always be on hand to ‘meet and greet’ and answer any queries you may have.

Each month we welcome a speaker covering a variety of topics,followed by a cup of tea where members can ask further questions or chat socially.Brief Group updates and information about wider U3A activities given.We hold a popular monthly raffle, also a book and jigsaw stall for members to buy for a nominal charge.

At present there are over 70 members of Blaby U3A.
Fees are paid annually in April and are currently £15 for the year and £11.50 if you are already a full member of another U3A.
Members joining later pay pro rate.

In addition to the monthly meeting members enjoy the choice of 11 different interest groups,and a monthly Newsletter.
You can attend three monthly meetings as a visitor (£1.50) and one 'taster' interest group session without joining, so that you can find out more about us.
