WHEN2nd Wednesday of the month at 2 pm for 1.5-2 hours

We are a relatively new group who are meeting monthly to discuss everything philosophical. You don’t need any past knowledge or experience, just a willingness to listen to others’ points of view and have an open mind.

We have been meeting on Zoom on 2nd Wednesday of the month at 2pm, usually for about 1 1/2 hours. Topics vary according to members’ choices, led by Nigel Collins for Newcastle U3A who supplies reading materials to support discussion. So far we have covered “What is Philosophy” and the theories of Immanuel Kant. Discussions are taking place as to how to proceed with this group post-Zoom.

Philosophy expands the mind and tries to answer questions like – Where did the world come from? Where did I come from? What is reality? What do we understand by the term happiness? What do I really know?

Why not come and join us and see what we are discussing.
