Streamed Cinema
This Group meets to visit the cinema whenever there is a “streamed” event that appeals. These are live showings of plays, concerts, talks, ballets, etc. from the best theatres, opera houses and museums across the world.
In recent times our visits have included a terrifying Verdi, a hilarious Shakespeare; a rockin’ Black Sabbath and a really, really sensuous Carmen.
There is usually an opportunity to meet up for a meal in a nearby restaurant beforehand, though this is not obligatory. We assemble at the cinema about 20 minutes before the film starts, buy our tickets, and spend a very pleasant few hours together.
