Birkdale & Ainsdale

Events

The events below are organised by the Birkdale and Ainsdale u3a. They are open to all members, though guests may be invited on certain occasions.

Meetings, which include talks by outside speakers, are held regularly at St. Peter's Church Hall, St. Peter's Road, Birkdale. There is street parking available and the 49, 15A and X2 buses stop nearby, close to Birkdale station.

The talks begin at 2pm. The hall will be open from 1.45 p.m. There is a charge of £3 and usually a raffle for which you purchase tickets. Income raised from raffles help to fund social events such as a Christmas Celebration.

Although the wearing of masks has generally been abandoned, if you feel more comfortable wearing one, please do. For obvious reasons, we ask that you do not attend if you are suffering from symptoms of any infectious disease, or if you have been in contact with anyone else who has.

Planned outings and group events are listed below. Please ensure you contact the Organiser if you are interested in attending as for some Groups there is a limit for participating members.

If you have any ideas for events, whether they are social or educational, please contact any member of the Committee.
