My name is Muriel Dickens and I take a Yoga class on Thursdays 1.00pm until 2.30pm at Lund House Room 1
Age and ability is no barrier and the class consists of breathing exercises, a poem, gentle limbering up, some easy posture work sometimes sitting, lying, in chair and standing holding table or chair if necessary. We finish off the class with a different breathing exercise and some relaxation, lying or sitting on floor or in a chair, and of course throughout the class pleasant music is played. We also chat and laugh at ourselves regularly.

I have been involved with Yoga for over 38 years and teaching it for some 35 years and it is one of the best things I have ever done. The benefits I have received physically, emotionally and mentally have been fantastic.
Married with 3 daughters, 5 grand daughters and 2 step grand daughters, 8 great grand children and 4 step great grandchildren Yoga gives me the energy to be involved with all of my family.
Since “retiring” as a manager for B & Q 15 years ago (my husband reckoned I would not have been able to meet the demands of the job if it had not been for Yoga) I still teach 3 classes a week, work 16 hours at Knypersley Stores and News.
As well as the above activities I am also Secretary for the Staffordshire Yoga Fellowship and arrange the programme of speakers for the Committee as well as being responsible for sending out information to our 50 members four times a year.
Again I know it is Yoga that gives me the energy I need to handle my busy lifestyle.
Why not come along and give it a try for yourself and allow Yoga to do for you what it has done for me.
