Short Walks

A short walk is organised monthly in the local area with an optional pub lunch afterwards. An email is sent to members of the group giving the walk details about a week before. As a rule we meet on the second Tuesday of the month, leaving from Bure Park shops at 10 am. We walk for three to four miles at a gentle pace that everyone is happy with and enjoy the scenery and chat amongst ourselves.

Due to the very wet start to the New Year the group decided on another Blue Line walk for January – this time the Langford 5K route. Twelve of us (and Eileen’s dog) enjoyed a very pleasant walk around Langford village and past the Jubilee Lake on an overcast but dry day. We finished the walk at the Nightingale pub, where we enjoyed a very pleasant lunch.

For subsequent reports on walks made through the remainder of the year, 2018, follow the relevant link(s). These are combined reports 4 in all.
