Berwyn & District

Week 20

This week's theme "A few of my favourite things" posed quite a challenge. Some of our photographers have lots of favourite things and others favour lots of different things! The photos differ similarly in the manner they choose to interpret the theme. We had some nice photos illustrating love and delight in children and grandchildren, a favourite topic among many third agers. Some photographers chose to display carefully curated collections of favourite items acquired over many years and others arranged still life pictures of their transient joys of the day. A difficult choice for our judges, you, the members of Berwyn and District U3A.
In first place by a substantial margin they chose Pete's dewy cobweb, a fleeting favourite on a damp autumn morning before it's banished by the sun. In second place, Dave's "casually discarded" collection of tools and motley car parts hints at some favourite activity being carried out just out of sight. Third place was closely fought with Geoff's eclectic mix of old and new just ahead of several rivals including this week's Wild Card choice Steve with his rather cross looking cockerel!
You can click Week 20 contestants to see all the photos submitted this week in a Google Album. If you click on a picture in the Album you will see a link at the bottom right corner where you can add your own comments. Do say something to let the photographers know how much you enjoyed them!
Thanks must also go to our judges, twenty six members who took the trouble to cast their votes on Saturday.
