Ladies Keep Fit
Ladies Keep Fit finishes at the end of May. Sadly, our leader Joan Whatling is unable to carry on with the group in September. Our thanks go to Joan for running the group. Members have really enjoyed their weekly sessions and hope someone will be able to take over in September. If you are interested, please contact the chairman, Hilary O'Shea to discuss on 01289 303866 or contact Hilary via the contact page of the website.
U3A Working Group recommendations
The Findings and Recommendations of the Working Group into the future structure of the Third Age Trust can be found in a link on the right.
Have fun practicing your ball skills
‘Walking football’? Not for me, I thought, never having played the game and in any case preferring rugby. But after Katy Taylor’s excellent coaching on basic ball skills (using both feet and hands and a nice soft ball), I am beginning to see the light. However, we are short of people and would welcome new members if you would like to give this gentle form of exercise a try. For further details contact Katy (01289 382352).

Are there any native Russian speakers or fluent speakers of Russian out there who would be willing to teach or lead a conversational Russian group? There are a few members who have expressed an interest in the Russian language and culture, and I'm sure there must be some more interested parties out there. Some of us have tackled Russian in the distant and not too distant past to varying levels and would love to take it up again. If anybody is interested in taking on a Russian conversational group we would be very grateful. Please contact Hilary O’Shea (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are interested in joining or leading the group. Большое спасибо!
We have a networking arrangement with Alnwick, Coquetdale and Wooler U3As. Without having to pay a membership fee, we can join groups or attend events organised by those U3As, as long as there are places available; and of course the same applies to them if they wish to join any of our activities. Naturally, we do have to pay towards any room hire if appropriate. Links to their websites are on the right of this page.
There is a new Berwick U3A leaflet, which will be available at Open Meetings, for anyone who wishes to show it to their friends or relatives.
