201902 - Hanningfield
Thursday 14 February 2019 Visit to Hanningfield Reservoir
We had a very pleasant few hours at Hanningfield Reservoir on Valentines day. It was a lovely sunny day and we visited all the hides to see what we could see.
Greylag and Canada Geese, Tufted Ducks, Teal, Cormorant, swans, Great Tits, Blue Tits, Robins, Wigeon, various gulls [difficult to identify specifics], squirrels and a Muntjac deer.
There were some very nice Wind in the Willows characters on the way round and some one had put red roses at the base of a large tree presumably because it was Valentines day. We had a nice lunch in the cafe and then wandered back to the car park.
Our thanks to photographers Lyn and Alan Aldridge.
