PREVIOUS SHORT COURSES

One short course was held in Mar 2023:-

Emperor Franz Joseph and the Decline of The Habsburg Dynasty

In the past our Local Short Courses have covered a wide range of topics:

Personal Safety Training; English Folk Songs; Mixed Media Portrait Painting Workshop; Bridge; Life Story Writing; Gettysburg; Response to the Climate Emergency.

Most of the courses we have already run have emerged from the interest of an individual member who has been keen and willing to share their knowledge with other members. This has worked extremely well.

A second approach is for members to let us know what would be of interest. Where there is enough support, we would advertise across the membership to find someone willing to run such a course.

Popular short courses, such as computer skills, have been repeated several times. We are considering repeating these courses, with an emphasis on utilising to a greater extent the u3a website and communicating via email.

We are always open to other suggestions.

If you have any ideas and are willing to lead a short course in this way, please contact the Short Courses Co-ordinator by clicking on the email contact icon at the top right of this page.
