The French Beginners has a small number of participants who are very enthusiastic but shy about speaking. That will change as we get a few more people on board and as the range of vocabulary and grammar improves. We are going at a fast pace because there is no such thing as true Beginner level. Most people have studied French in the distant past. New participants will be very welcome, as at all the French groups.French Conversation for beginners : Face to face meeting in the Morton Community Centre, Lorne Street, (off Lisburn Road), Friday Mornings 11.30 to 1.00 pm.
The French Advanced Group runs remotely on Zoom on Mondays, starting at 2 pm. This is
basically a discussion group in French; some recent subjects were La Mort de Jean-Paul Belmondo, La Couture Electrique, le documentaire Petite Fille, Uberisation. Members of the group are free to suggest topics of interest and they usually then provide a text or video in advance of the meeting to all participants, so they are ready to join in the discussion. There is still room in this group for new members, so anybody who is pretty fluent in French and wants to maintain their standard is welcome to join and bring in fresh ideas.
