Bridge - Beginners - Lessons

Bridge is the most popular card game in the world! It can be played at many levels... ranging from a social foursome, right up to local, national and international competitions. At whatever level you play, you are guaranteed to exercise your mind and meet a new network of friends!
I will be starting a new bridge course for complete beginners on Tuesday 5th September 2023 (2pm - 4pm). The venue for the course is St. Anne's Hall, Dunmurry. The course is restricted to members of Belfast U3A.
The course is primarily aimed at those who have never played the game before. It may also be suitable for members who have had some experience of bridge but feel that they would benefit from a complete revision course starting from the basics.
Each lesson will consist of 1 hour of theory followed by 1 hour of supervised practice play. The course will consist of approx. 33 lessons. Members will be provided with lesson notes and crib sheets. By the end of the course, members should be able to play social bridge and also "gentle" duplicate bridge for novices in the local clubs. The lessons will be free, but members will be asked to contribute towards the cost of the room hire. Places on the course will be limited.
The course is now full but there is a waiting list, to be used in the event of vacancies arising.
