Classical Music Appreciation
"Music is for everyone because it is a natural part of daily living. You can derive a physical lift from listening to classical music. No formal training is required for its enjoyment. Maybe you've never been present at a concert or an opera performance. It doesn't matter. Humming or singing tunes - even without knowing their names - show that you take to music instinctively. Our reaction to music is spontaneous, not planned. When you share with us you will become a knowledgeable receptive listener and come away satisfied, fulfilled, refreshed, elated and even sensually provoked. ".
This group meets on the second Tuesday of every month, 10.30am-12.30pm. in Newtonbreda Presbyterian Church Hall (corner of Ormeau and Knockbreda roads - car park entrance on Knockbreda).

|Mon Aug 31st||Keith selects a piece of music for members to listen to and provides a short description of the piece, its context, and some aspects of the music to listen out for which might not be obvious. It all adds to the enjoyment of the music for members. In addition, Kristin provides biographical notes on the composer for members. Keith is using WhatsApp to let members know of any concerts or streaming events which are taking place, at short notice, and to provide a platform for feedback.|
