The University Of The Third Age is part of a world wide organisation celebrating over 30 successful years.

u3a is friendly learning co-operative of older people enabling members to share creative educational and leisure activities.

No qualifications are required and none are given. Members pass on experience and skills they have acquired during their life with no financial reward.

Our aim is to create friendship and stimulation.

Membership is open to part time workers and there is no lower age limit.

Bede of Jarrow u3a was established in 2007, with present membership very nearly 200.

Annual subscription from April 2024 is £15.00 for individual members and £11.00 if you are already a member of another u3a.

The monthly meeting is held at Primrose Community Centre, Lambton Terrace, Jarrow, on the. first Monday of the month at 10.00am, unless this coincides with a Bank Holiday, when it is held on the second Monday.
