SOCIAL GROUP
The Social Group is open to all Bedale and District u3a members. A number of “Outings” will be organised during the year, with a view to providing interesting, educational, fun trips - things you might not do on your own.
We will
• endeavour to keep the costs as low as possible
• organise a main event for each outing but choose destinations which allow individuals flexibility to put together their own itinerary should they wish
• operate on a first come first served basis
The only rule is that once you sign up for a trip you are committed, as the trip and costs will be organised and booked on the basis of those signatures. Should you be unable to go at the last minute you will have to find someone else to take your place or take the financial “hit”.

| Fri Apr 26th | Visit to Kiplin Hall Meet at 12.30 for a guided tour round the House. You can also walk round the Gardens. You could arrive early for lunch or have afternoon tea/coffee after the tour. Using own transport. Cost 13. Contact Sian Bramley at next monthly meeting or 01845 565584 to book and pay. |
| Thu Jun 13th | Visit to the Auckland Project (Bishop Auckland) Travel by Handley's coach for a cost of £10 to £15 dependent on numbers travelling Depart from Bedale at 9.30am and return leaving the Project at 3.30 to 4.00pm visit whichever places you choose - Bishop's Palace, Faith museum, Spanish Art Gallery, Miner's Art Gallery. Cost of exhibitions vary from £6 upwards with an unlimited pass costing £30 which lasts for 1 year. I am assured that there is too much to see in one day. | Thu Jul 4th | Visit Keswick Theatre in the round to see "BRASSED OFF". Travel By 13 seat Minibus with others travelling by car. We have booked 18 seats. There is 1 space left on the minibus and also 3 seats at the theatre if you wish to travel by car. Cost £44.00 for minibus and theatre. | Sat Aug 31st | Visit to "KYNREN" - Please note change of date A spectacular skip through 2000 years of history, myth and legend in 90 minutes! Transport by Handley's coach. Take your own food with you. Leave at 5.45pm and return at 11.30pm, depending on how long it takes the coach to leave the site.
