Basildon & Billericay

Science

The Science Group was originally formed over twenty years ago by two members with particular interests in chemistry and mathematics. Over the years, the scope of our studies has expanded significantly to include many other disciplines in science and technology.
Held twice-monthy at venues that rotate among the members, our meetings frequently involve viewing a selection of the numerous science-related programmes now available on digital TV. Alternatively a group member will suggest a subject for home study, followed by discussion at the next meeting.
Just occasionally, we might have a practical session, where we use readily-accessible equipment and materials to actually 'do' some science.
