Keep Battle Tidy
On Tuesday 16 April 11 2019 members of the 'Overflow' U3A Walking Group volunteered to litter pick in Battle as part of the national 'Keep Britain Tidy Campaign'. Equipment was supplied by Rother District Council and the event organised by Diane Wilson for the U3A and Battle Town Council.
Everyone reported to actually enjoying the litter pick, which became quite compulsive with teams determined to pick up the more inaccessible litter as they progressed through the town. It was agreed that the group would be happy to undertake another litter pick later in the year.
