Spanish is the official language of 21 countries in the world. Only English and Mandarin Chinese have more speakers of their respective languages. In addition there are about as many Spanish speakers in the US as the total population of Spain.
The Group meets fortnightly on Thursday at Alder Close Community Centre, Mapplewell from 10.00am to 12 noon.
The course we are studying (during 2019) is " Enjoy Spanish" by Juan Kattan - Ibarra which consists of a book and audio component organised in 12 thematic units.
If you already have a basic knowledge of Spanish and are looking to build on what you know and advance your communication skills then this is the right course for you.
We also re-visit a past course " Hugo Advanced Spanish" to focus on the history, regional and cultural aspects of both Spain and Latin America.
Hopefully, you will increase your capacity to understand the spoken and written language and further your ability to communicate with Spanish speakers both orally and in writing.
