Our open meetings

Our open meetings are held at Banbury Rugby Club, Bodicote Park, Oxford Road, Banbury OX15 4AF. Banbury RUFC is located just south of the new traffic lights in Bodicote. It shares a large car park with Bannantyne's Gym. Access by bus is by the half-hourly S4 Banbury to Deddington or Oxford.

Volunteers set up the hall before 2.00 p.m. on the afternoon of a meeting. Attendees are checked in, with their £1.00 payment (which includes hot drink and biscuits), by the Membership Secretary. The meeting commences at 2.30 p.m. with a welcome from the chairman or other committee member, and brief notices before the presentation, which usually lasts around one hour, including questions. A hot drink and biscuits are then served. The provision of refreshments requires volunteers and members are asked to sign up to a rota in advance. After plenty of social chat, members clear the room of chairs and tables and return it to its former tidy state.

Visitors, guests and potential new members are very welcome to attend these open meetings and are asked to pay £1.50 entrance fee.
