You can view or download Bearsden and Milngavie u3a's Constitution as well as our u3a Handbook. There are accompanying Notes to the Model Constitution.
The Data Protection Policy and Privacy Policy documents can also be viewed or downloaded.
We hope that you have always understood that Bearsden and Milngavie u3a is committed to safeguarding the wellbeing of its members, and that all members should show respect and understanding for the rights, safety and welfare of others, and conduct themselves in a way that reflects the principles of the u3a. The Third Age Trust has, however, asked all u3as to go further and adopt policy statements upholding these values. To this end, a small sub-committee has produced a suite of documents for use in our own u3a. These are: a Safeguarding Policy; a Welfare Policy; an Accident Report Form; a Code of Conduct; and a Disciplinary Procedure. We hope that the publication of these documents will reassure our members of our continued commitment to ensuring the welfare of all our members.
