We are a group of sociable people from all walks of life who have a love of singing together. There is no choirmaster or conductor, and no audition!
Our songs cover a huge range - pop (all eras); country; folk; Scots. They just have to be great to sing.
We meet fortnightly, and alternate sessions involve group singing with the help of a karaoke machine, or singing along to music.
If you are interested, or looking for more information, please contact the Convener by clicking on the message bird.
There is a nice wee group o’ folk
That think that singing’s no a joke
They meet bi-weekly ‘cos they’re very keen
But hiv a wee rest in between
Sometimes it's songs by Dr Ray
Who despite the name is no DJ
That wee honour Allan’s takin’
His other skill is tablet makin’
Karaoke is his passion
He runs it in his own wee fashion
He has a great big pile of CDs
Featuring ABBA and the BeeGees
And other well known groups I’m told
Who’re either deed or awfy old
So come along and join the throng
I guarantee you won’t go wrong
There’s lovely ladies and charming blokes
Just beware of Graham’s risqué jokes
Just pay £3 and then sign in
Grab a sweetie fae the wee round tin
Take a seat and soon enough
You’ll be rockin’ n’ rollin’ tae you're out of puff
We’re Carry on Singing that’s our name
And that’s what we do ‘til we a’ go hame.
