We are reviewing monarchs in a chronological order from 1066. Everyone is expected to bring something to the group, even just a little snippet, and there is no pressure to present.
We have recently been reviewing the Tudor and Stuarts, a very interesting time in history with voyages of discovery, patrons of the arts including playwrights. We also had the Union of the Crowns and civil war.
It is interesting how present day events are discussed in relation to the historical events, some things have not moved on!
