Lincoln has abandoned many of its interesting medieval street names, this talk will restore some of them and will put the old markets back in position.

Paul is a qualified archivist. He studied medieval history, languages and literature at university, but his professional career has been spent almost exclusively in corporate archives.

Bob is a retired Theatre Consultant who has planned many theatres and performance spaces through out the world. Alongside his consultancy work he was, for 30 years, Technical Manager of a Theatre in Nottingham, running shows and organising events for the visiting artists. As a lighting designer for over 40yrs, he lit all types of shows from dramas to musicals.

We start the year with a light hearted look at a serious topic. Kenneth is a very experienced and well known speaker. In 2015 he told us all about the animal Victoria Cross - the Dicken Medal. Today he gives us a humorous account of his time in the RAF. We look forward to his return visit!

Feb 20th 2024. Jane Pickersgill. Life as a Squadron Leader.
We continue with our military theme this month as we welcome Jane. She was a Weapon Systems Officer (WSO) on Tornadoes before serving an exchange with the US Navy and becoming involved with the specialist training of others using electronic warfare aircraft. Jane has an illustrated talk today that I know we will find extremely interesting.
