Fun and uplifting afternoon, hard to sit still with music from, Artie Shaw, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Joe Loss and... Jools holland!

November no meeting

2nd October String Instruments
another enjoyable and varied group meeting, choices included Haydn Cello Concerto, Barber Adagio for Strings, Django Reinhardt, traditional music for Welsh Triple Harp

4th September 2pm Colour
enjoyable afternoon with a good variety of music, from Sibelius, Prince,Beiderbecke, Nick Drake and Paul Williams

no meeting in August

3rd July 2pm Anniversaries
small turn out but enjoyable afternoon, we covered wedding anniversary, confirmation, RAF 100th and Maureen Lipman's 50th in show business, music included Elgar, Widor, Molly Drake, Lorrie Morgan

1st May 2pm Home
good turn out and very enjoyable afternoon. We all reminisced about home and childhood and that was reflected in the music: My Little Welsh Home sung by Bryn Terfel, Omasalala by Ayama, Sing me back home Marianne Faithful, Shrimp Boats Jo Stafford, Jerusalem Parry, So nice to come home to Dinah Shore and many more!

April meeting cancelled

although few in number the choices were very broad, including Tom Lehrer, Barbra Streisand,Ananda Shankar, Vivaldi, Mozart and Vaughan Williams

6th February 2pm Romance
an enjoyable afternoon with another wide variety of music including Puccini, Rachmaninov, Mozart, Joni Mitchell, Madeleine Peyroux and of course 10cc

2nd January 2pm New Beginnings
another interesting and varied choice of music, from Nina Simone, Van Morrison,Dvork and Strauss

5th December 2pm Christmas/Celebrations
a lovely uplifting afternoon of music including Holst, Jethro Tull, Monteverdi, Medieval Babes

7th November 2pm Water
though few of us we had a diverse choice of music from Debussy Le Mer to Alison Krauss

October cancelled due to ill health

5th September 2pm Harvest
fun filled afternoon, music ranged from Purcell and Vivaldi to Eva Cassidy and Jay Ungar

1st August 2pm Summer Holidays
well attended and fascinating selection of music, including Handel's Semele, Beetles Here comes the Sun, Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream and Kinks Sunny Afternoon

4th July 2pm All things American
another enjoyable and varied choice, including Chuck Berry, Willard White, George Gershwin

6th June 2pm, we chose music that we thought others might not know ranging from Amy Wadge to Pink Martinis and RagnBone Man,

2nd May 2pm, Musicals or Musical Theatre
A lovely meeting with a wide range of music, including Porgy and Bess, Cats, Madam Butterfly

4th April 2pm, pieces that reflect/remind you of April another enjoyable and varied selection, including Aaron Copeland Appalachian Spring, Disney's April Showers, Rain Rain Beautiful Rain Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Saint Saen's Cuckoo in the Depths of the Woods

7th March, 2pm, Springtime, choices included Chopin, Mendelssohn and Rodgers and Hammerstein

7th February, 2pm, Desert Island Disc, our choices ranged from Purcell to McCartney
