Bailgate

Sunday Lunches

Convenor : Margaret Walch

There are 10 of us in the Group; we usually go to pubs not too far from Bailgate and we are happy to re-visit those that we have enjoyed. Favourites would include the Peacock, the Stag’s Head, the Prince of Wales, the Lincolnshire Poacher, and (our farthest journey) the Plough at Nettleham. We like to have a “Sunday roast”, and the best value so far is probably The Lincolnshire Poacher. But they all have their different characters, and are good at different times – eg we enjoyed going to the Pyewipe in the fine summer weather, and our December visit will be to the White Hart’s Grille. Wherever we decide, we enjoy the company, and find that it’s a great way to spend a traditional Sunday!
