Garden Group Meetings 2018
1st February we will be as usual at the Bowls Club for a 2.15 start.
Our speaker is Glenn Mayes....Glenn will join us to talk about harvesting honey and tasting. For those who missed him last time he is a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic speaker, passionate about Bees and for those who have seen him before you know it will be an entertaining afternoon.
March 1st - WE HAVE DECIDED TO CANCEL the meeting at the Bowls Club due to snow forecast.
April 5th - We are still in the Bowls club on Thursday 5th April at 2.15
Our speaker has been recommended to us by other groups, he has a wide variety of subjects so we have chosen flowering shrubs, which I hope you will enjoy.
May 3rd - We are off to Ulting Wick to view a multitude of tulips, we hope. The cost of this visit is £7.50 to include teas and cakes.
Thursday 7th June - We are off to Perrywoods Garden Centre and Nursery for a behind the scenes tour, which lasts approximately 30 mins. Each tour can accommodate 15 people so it would be helpful to know some idea of numbers.
Thursday 5th july - We are going to Jennys garden and we will meet there at 2.30pm. We have decided it might be a good idea to do a plant swap again whilst there, so bring along any spare plants that you would like to exchange. Being as our last swap was a bit muddly - we were beginners then, we think the best way is for every plant you wish to swap you will be given a ticket, then tickets will be drawn and people will be able to choose in order of tickets being drawn.
Tea, coffee and cake will be included in the £2 entry, any spare money will go into our funds, as speakers for the winter are becoming more expensive.
Thursday 2nd August - We are off to Elwy Lodge, West Bowers Road Woodham Walter for 2.30 . There will be a charge of £7 which will include refreshments
Thursday 6th September - Margot has kindly volunteered to open her garden for us on Thursday 6th for donations to the NGS.
Thursday 4th October - Our speaker is Mike Sullivan to speak on alpines.

Thursday 1st November - There will be NO meeting this Thursday as the speaker has cancelled.
Thursday 6th December - Our meeting on Thursday will hopefully just be a bit of Christmas fun.
