Social History Through Time
Rather than simply describing conditions throughout history, the group's focus is on social changes, and the reasons for those changes through time.
At its simplest level, the group could use its own experience to, say examine why children's toys change over time. On a deeper level we could ask why our attitudes towards major issues such as homosexuality have changed over the last 50 years. It would also be possible to go way back in history to look at the process of civilisation.
It is hoped that visits to museums and cultural sites will be arranged as part of the group's activities.
